There are quite a few people in a pickle over Anthony Fox’s (Nicholas Day) ‘disappearance’ in Emmerdale. They’d all be in the clear if it wasn’t for one person – Steph Miligan (Georgia Jay).
Steph refuses to believe her granddad would just up and leave the village – despite the evidence of his car and belongings going missing being enough to convince anyone the man had done a bunk.
But Steph’s gut tells her something different, which is bad news for those involved.
There’s quite a few involved too – with Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) having done the actual killing, Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) disposing of the body, and Caleb Miligan (William Ash) doing the final clean up.

Not to mention Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) and Nicola King’s (Nicola Wheeler) involvement in beating up Anthony in the first place and then incriminating themselves with their guilty behaviours.
Laurel even took herself to the police station at one point to turn herself in.
So far though, the six have got away with what they’ve done, that is until Steph watches in horror as the police make an arrest in relation to Anthony’s disappearance.
But it’s not one of the six. It’s – Cain.

Steph can’t believe her eyes and is furious as she watches Cain get cuffed and carted off.
While she doesn’t yet know Anthony has been murdered, this still tells her that her parents have been defending the man responsible for Anthony’s absence.
